Finito

The sculpture is finished. And with that my residency comes to a close. Today is my 79th day in France and tomorrow, on my 80th day I will be installing the work in the southern chapel of St. Merri. It is the the 18th century wing of the church and because of this light flows from an oculus above. I have packed everything, and have decided to discard some things that I think are not essential to my travel home. Anyway Ive got enough photographs - no need for bigger keepsakes, except maybe for a small Eiffel tower for my collection. But that would be it. To be honest I am so anxious to go home. Paris is beautiful, but it is not home. But I am so thankful to have stayed here even for a few months. The journey is done. The lesson is learned.
